The UBC Astronomy Club
We are a group of students at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver who share a passion for astronomy. We welcome students of any discipline who would like to meet other people with like-minded interests.
Our club's goal is to educate and promote interest in astronomy through the various types of events we run, including: dark-sky observations, social activities, a lecture series, and outreach initiatives. We're always looking for more opportunities.

Events
From flash observations and trivia nights to trips to Manning Park, there's something for everyone! Our events are aimed at anyone who is interested in astronomy, not just those studying it. Events we've hosted in the past include:

Membership Benefits
What does being a member get you? The benefits are primarily split into two categoreis: priorities, and access. For most events requiring RSVPs, our club will prioritize members applications (when required, eg. if we are restricted by a venue's capacity). In addition, membership also grants you exclusive access to some of our events.

Rent a Telescope
We wanted to take some extra time to highlight one of our membership perks: a free telescope rental program! All our members are eligible to rent out our incredible and easy-to-use tabletop Virtuoso GTi Dobsonians by Skywatcher.
