UBC C4 Choral Composition Club

What is UBC C4?

UBC C4 is a non-audition choir for singers of all experience levels.

Most of our pieces are composed by our club members and other members of the UBC community. We host beginner-friendly workshops every term on a variety of topics ranging from music composition to vocal technique and more.

If you are a singer, composer, or instrumentalist looking for a casual space to grow and meet fellow enthusiasts, we are the club for you!

We will have the following schedule:

Main Rehearsals: Weekly on Mondays, 6:15-7:45 pm in IRC G41 (Woodward Instructional Resources Center main floor)

  • This is the core club activity for singers. We will learn new pieces and rehearse our main club repertoire at this time.

  • In-person, drop-in

Composer Meets: Monthly workshops biweekly on Thursdays (Date and Time will be scheduled on Discord!)

  • This is the core club activity for composers, arrangers, songwriters, and producers.

  • Activities are shaped by members and change depending on experience levels/interests/etc.

How to join?

To get all details of the club, please join our discord server: https://linktr.ee/ubcc4

All club activities (except the end-of-term concert) are open to everyone and do not require a membership! You can drop-in at any point in the term: we spend 2 rehearsals per piece before moving on to the next one, so you are welcome to join anytime. Club members ($2 for AMS, $3 for non-AMS students) will be allowed to perform at our end-of-term concert to celebrate all that we have learned! :)
