Welcome to the UBC Canadian Wheelchair Club! Our mission is to promote inclusivity, support, and empowerment for individuals with disabilities. As a community-driven organization, we aim to provide a space where members can connect, share experiences, and engage in activities that foster physical and social well-being.

Our motto "Helping the 100 Million" refers to our ongoing efforts to support and better the lives of individuals facing significant challenges in access to mobility devices. It signifies our ambitious goal and collective commitment to positively impact the lives of over 100 million people worldwide who are neglected and marginalized due to disabilities. We believe that through our collective efforts, we can strive to create meaningful change and ensure these individuals can obtain the support and resources they need to thrive.

Fundraisers and Events

To support our mission, we organize several fundraisers throughout the year. Our events range from including basketball tournaments, bottle drives and our annual skating for mobility. These activities not only provide opportunities for community engagement but also contribute vital resources and spread deep-rooted awareness of our ongoing efforts

Membership and Volunteering

The UBC Canadian Wheelchair Club welcomes a diverse range of members from various backgrounds and walks of life. While many of our members are current UBC students, we are fortunate to receive tremendous support from alumni, graduate students, and even individuals who are not attending UBC. Each year, we actively recruit new members and executives to join our growing community.

Our Wheelchair Deliveries!

Throughout the year, many of our members have traveled to developing communities in Costa Rica, Guatemala, India, and Uganda to personally hand-deliver mobility equipment to individuals who previously lacked access. This initiative is one of our proudest accomplishments, made possible through the support of our extensive network of community partners, sponsors, and our dedicated fundraising efforts. By bridging the gap in mobility access, we’re not only providing essential equipment but also changing lives and empowering communities across the globe.
