The Environmental Sciences Students' Association (ESSA) is a student club representing the Environmental Sciences program at The University of British Columbia. We are dedicated to bringing people together who share a passion for the environment, organizing study sessions and social events for students to get to know each other, hosting alumni nights and career conferences with professionals, and participating in events promoting public awareness of environmental issues. If you’re an ENSC student or have an interest in Environmental Sciences, ESSA is a great way to connect with other students, get involved, and create a unique undergrad experience.

We welcome ESSA members and non-members alike at most of our events - the only difference between the two is that members will NOT be required to pay at the door for paid events after paying a *one-off $5 membership fee for events throughout the school year. Additional membership benefits:

First-served access to events with limited attendees and FREE access to paid events
Entry into a raffle for a FREE ESSA swag bag
Discounted pricing on future merch orders
Automatic sign-up for receiving our monthly newsletter to keep you up-to-date on all of our events, opportunities, and resources

Our clubroom is located at Room 208J, Earth and Ocean Sciences (EOS Main) Building. Official drop-in hours are still TBA, but for the time being, if the room is open and there is an ESSA exec present, by all means come in and hang out!
