UBC Japan Career Network
The UBC Japan Career Network (JCN) is a student-run club with a mission to support all those who envision a future career in Japan or in the Nikkei Industry. Founded in 2013, we have supported international students, exchange students, and domestic students for over a decade.
What we offer
Company Info Sessions
At JCN we collaborate with a wide array of companies from multiple industries. Companies from consulting, manufacturing, finance have all worked with JCN to host informational sessions on campus. If you are still learning about industries or have a particular company you wish to learn more about, keep an eye out!
Interviews
JCN has collaborated with multiple companies to bring their first round of interviews to campus. If you are already experienced with job-hunting or are feeling confident, JCN can provide opportunities to start the recruitment process.
Community Events
Feeling overwhelmed with Job-hunting? Looking for a supportive community to help you along your job-hunting journey?
Original Events
JCN also hosts multiple “original events” a year. We have original events to help you prep for interviews or ask questions to upperclassmen who have received full time offers. Additionally, we have multiple fun events that are completely unrelated to job hunting. These include events like our Icebreaker and Christmas party.
