The purpose of our club is to keep students up to date with genetic research advancements, help identify interesting genetics courses, potential research supervisors, potential graduate programs, and educate on bioethical issues related to genetic screening, gene therapy and human genetic engineering. We also strive to foster a sense of community and facilitate connections among students who are passionate about genetics. In the past, some events we’ve held included a Science Trivia Night for Charity, Grad Student Night, National Undergraduate Genetics Symposium (NUGS), and more! By connecting interested undergraduate members with graduate students and research opportunities, we wish to better prepare them for their future academic careers.
