Club Overview

Established in 2011, UBC Trading Group is a diverse community of students linked by their mutual interest in impacting the future of capital markets.

We are one of the largest student clubs with a community of 500+ members accumulated in the last five years.

UBC Trading Group offers resources to members through events, workshops and content produced by our analyst team.

After absorbing the UBC Quantitative Finance Club in 2019, we have established our own Quant Team that is focused on building an asset management model.

Areas of Operation: Events, Workshops & Content

Our events represent our effort to balance the needs of students aiming to gain relevant skills and network.

In 2018, the group established an analyst team responsible for producing market concepts, equity research reports and market commentary.

Market Concepts: Short educational pieces on the most important concepts for getting started with or improving your trading strategy.

Equity Research Reports: Our reports analyze the company's business model, industry, financial growth and are great examples of how to use publicly available information to compute a valuation of a company.

Weekly News & Market Commentary: Weekly market updates compiled and tailored for student reading. Plus in-depth bi-weekly commentary covering updates and insights in equities, fixed income, commodities, and foreign exchange.
