UBC Young Liberals of Canada

The UBC Young Liberals are the UBC branch of the Young Liberals of Canada, and are affiliated with the federal Liberal Party of Canada. The YLC’s mission is serving as a strong voice for the values and priorities of Young Liberals within the party while promoting Liberal ideals and policies to all young Canadians.

The UBC Young Liberals offer opportunities for members to learn more about politics, the Liberal Party, and policies. Events hosted create an open-minded environment centered on respectful debates and provide unique opportunities for networking, career development, and personal growth.

Some events planned for the year include policy cafes where members get to create policies based on research and facts which is then sent to the relevant ministry for consideration. Maybe your policy gets adopted in the House of Commons! 

Other events include meet and greets with Members of Parliament, federal Ministers, and staffers, allowing you to ask questions and explore potential career paths. 

Club socials are a great place to meet other like-minded students and expand your network.
